Black Ops 4 Diego Ix - How to Unlock

Diego Ix, tips and tricks

Today in this article we are going to show you the way to unlock Diego IX, on December 10 the new update for Call of Duty Black Ops 4 came out, adding Diego IX and his crew to the list of new characters to be unlocked!
As most character unlocks goes, you must acquire an item that has a random chance of dropping/looting, which enables you to start a specific mission/challenge to unlock the character.

In this case, Diego's Item is the Mayan Crest, this item has to be looted by going through equipment stashes that are scattered all around.
Once the Mayans Crest is found you can now proceed with the critical phase of this mission, finding a bowie knife and getting a kill with it.
Getting a kill with a bowie knife is not an easy task, to achieve this character unlock successfully it is recommended to either camp and wait for your perfect timing to attack, or to sneak around.

When attempting this type of mission it is advised to use perks such as the Skulker and Dead Silence, with these perks active you will be able to sneak and slice your enemies in no time.
To complete this mission you must have the Mayans Crest in your inventory by the end of the match or at your death.
It's also worth mentioning, after getting a kill with the bowie knife, whether you win or die you will unlock Diego IXI, as long as the item is in your inventory when you die.
